A26 Radio Astronomy / DSN Activity - 1.8M Offset

A "sanity check" was performed on feed alignment and predicted performance for the offset 1.8M dish by inspection of the recovered signal from the beacon on WGS-5 (52.5W) at downconverted 7600.0 MHz. The known position of this satellite as a point source allowed the AZ and EL to be calibrated for the site look angles. The offset observed is due to the receiver and the analyzer not being locked to the house Rb standard at the time of the measurment.
